Description
CRYOCHILL™ Cryovial, Star-Foot, Sterile
Star-Foot CRYOCHILL™ cryovials are available with both external and internal threaded
designs. They are manufactured from USP Class VI compliant polypropylene (PP), with
high-density polyethylene (HDPE) closures and 0.1 mL graduation markings.
Internally threaded versions feature a silicone washer in the cap to improve sealing
efficiency. The cryovials are designed to provide reliable protection under extreme
temperature conditions and are suitable for use in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen
as well as mechanical freezers.
The vials comply with IATA requirements and are designed to withstand evacuation to
95 kPa without leakage, making them suitable for transporting diagnostic specimens.
They are manufactured in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom and are free from detectable DNase,
RNase and pyrogens.
Warning:
Do not use cryovials or storage boxes in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen.
Liquefied nitrogen may become trapped inside the vial and cause pressure build-up,
potentially resulting in an explosion or biohazard release. Always use appropriate
safety equipment when removing cryovials from cryogenic storage.
